  • Equity in Practice: Advancing Community-Driven Philanthropy Workshop Registration

  • Thursday, December 10, 2026; 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Location: Colorado Health Foundation, 1780 Pennsylvania St, Denver, CO

What does it look like to move community voice, partnership, and shared power from aspiration into everyday grantmaking practice? This interactive workshop brings grantmakers together to explore practical ways to build trust, strengthen relationships, and make funding practices more community-driven. Through hands-on activities, useful tools, and peer exchange, participants will identify where their current practices are strong, where there is room to grow, and what meaningful next steps could look like. You’ll leave with fresh ideas, practical strategies, and approaches you can adapt to your own grantmaking context.

    Key Learning Objectives:

    • Explore grantmaking practices that build trust, shift power, and strengthen relationships with grantees and communities
    • Gain tools to assess and strengthen alignment between current grant practices and community-driven philanthropic practices
    • Develop actionable next steps to align current grantmaking practices and strategy to participation, partnership, and shifting power
    • Exchange examples, stories, and approaches with peers to deepen understanding of how community-driven philanthropy can be embedded in practice and identify adaptable ideas for their own contexts.

Our workshop participant eligibility policy intends to create a space where participants can speak openly and candidly about challenges within their work while also allowing people from a variety of grantmaking and philanthropy-supporting organizations to participate in the series.
