WHO: Each year, GEO holds different invitation-only convenings for those who share similar positionality within grantmaking organizations:
- CEOs, Presidents and Executive Directors
- CEOs, Presidents, Executive Directors + Board Members (as a pair/trio)
- Senior Leaders (those with org-wide purview who report to CEOs, Presidents or Executive Directors)
WHAT: GEO designs and facilitates each convening based on the particularities, challenges and opportunites of the participants' specific role. Over two days, you will experience an intimate and collegial space away from the day-to-day for deep connection, thought partnership, peer coaching and resource sharing. Afterward, your peers in the room serve as an ongoing community to optionally continue connecting with for ongoing leadership support.
WHY: Effective leadership requires both groundedness and adaptability. GEO offers you a candid and confidential opportunity to build the relationships, skills and strategies needed to stay whole and lead effectively through tumult and change. Read more about our approach here.
HOW: Complete this interest form to add your name to the appropriate prospective invitee list, depending on the role you hold in philanthropy. This opportunity is open to both GEO members and GEO member-eligible organizations. If you have questions about your GEO membership status or eligibility to join, reach out to GEO's Membership & Development Manager Autumn Shepherd-Van Patten (shepherd@geofunders.org).
HOW MUCH: There is a non-refundable $500 program fee per person for GEO members, and a $1,000 program fee per person for non-GEO members for this offering. The program fee covers all materials, meals and refreshments throughout the convening. Participants cover their own travel, lodging and other associated costs with getting to and from the convening location.
WHEN: Select the role-based convening aligned with your role below, and the corresponding dates and times of 2027 GEO offerings will subsequently appear. Invitations are typically sent three months in advance of the convening date.
